I am a self taught artist and resident of Milford, New Jersey. As far back as I can remember, I've always loved to draw and paint. This past year I've spent most of my time carving wood and antlers, scribing on all sorts of bones and skulls and doing wood burning, or "pyrography".
Since 1979 when I turned professional artist, some of my credits include illustrations and covers in national magazines such as Bowhunter, Deer and Deer Hunting, Indian Artifact and New Jersey Outdoors. I was commissioned to illustrate, "North American Big Game Hunting In The 1800's," the second book in its Big Game Heritage Collection, published by the National Sporting Fraternity. I illustrated the New Jersey State Mammal poster plus numerous publications for the Division Of Fish, Game and Wildlife in our state and also various other publications and periodicals for many organizations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Besides painting and illustrating, I truly enjoy working with all mediums and on almost any surface of nature. Moose antlers from Montana scribed in ink depicting an array of collages that weave together our ancestors and nature are a favorite of mine to create. Carvings of wood, soapstone and antler, wood burnings, leather work plus numerous nature and one-of-a-kind creations can be found in my studio. There's always something new! When the artistic spirit flows within me, I have to create. It's a God given gift that I thank Him for everyday.
I hope you will keep me in mind when you are thinking about a unique collectible, a very limited edition print or an original work of art.
