A great deal of research goes into my work both at home and in the field. That's a must because art collectors are very aware of the art they invest in today. We all know that the less there is of anything, the more valuable it will become with time. That's why my limited edition prints are all of a very low series run. Of the color prints, the highest numbered edition I have is 650 prints. My pencil prints are mostly 100 prints with the highest series being 500. Once a print series is sold out, it will NOT be printed again. Years ago when printing presses were not as sophisticated as they are today, the artist picked out 10% of the best prints from their series and these became what we call ARTIST PROOFS. If 100 prints were made, 10 of them became artist proofs and were numbered 1 through 10. The rest were numbered up to 100. The artist proofs were the best and cost more then the remaining ones which became the LIMITED EDITIONS. A REMARQUE is a small original drawing that the artist places on the limited edition print or artist proof, thus adding to the value of the print.
