I think antlers are just magnificent! This is the first of this years' 10 moose antlers sent home from Montana. The inside of the antler is first sanded smooth so that I can scribe on it. While sanding, the artistic spirit starts to flow within me and I can "see" the collage I want to create before I'm even through sanding! This collage depicts a majestic eagle whose feathers flow down to create the hair on the regal Native American. A full moon with bear paws and and arrowhead are to his left. A moose, grizzly and bison are nestled on top of eagle feathers and a lonely wolf howls up at the full moon. The antler rests on a carved poplar base. The bottom of the base is lined with felt. Truly a unique nature creation.
